Shelter and Housing Stability

Advocating for Secure and Affordable Housing as a Foundation for Stability

Housing is a fundamental right that provides individuals and families with the security and stability essential to build their lives. Yet, housing affordability and accessibility remain major challenges. In the U.S., over half a million people experience homelessness each night, while many more struggle to afford rent in high-cost cities, putting families and individuals at risk of housing insecurity. Globally, millions face housing instability, particularly in conflict zones, where displacement forces people to seek refuge without a stable place to call home.

First Rights Global is committed to advocating for policies that increase access to affordable housing domestically, recognizing that secure shelter is vital to individual well-being, family stability, and community resilience. We also support humanitarian efforts to provide emergency shelter in refugee and crisis-affected areas, collaborating with international organizations to address the urgent needs of displaced persons.

Through sustainable housing policies, investment in affordable housing initiatives, and crisis response programs, First Rights Global aims to reduce housing insecurity and ensure that everyone has a secure environment in which to grow and thrive. We believe that housing stability lays a crucial foundation for dignity, opportunity, and hope.
