These practices occur globally, often targeting marginalized groups, including women, minorities, and individuals with disabilities. FGM alone affects millions of girls worldwide, causing lifelong physical and psychological harm, while forced sterilization has been documented in both developed and developing countries, stripping individuals of control over their reproductive health.
 
First Rights Global is dedicated to advancing policies that protect individuals from involuntary medical procedures, advocating for consent-based healthcare practices that honor each person’s autonomy. We support comprehensive education campaigns to raise awareness, legal protections that prohibit such practices, and survivor-centered programs that offer support and resources. Through advocacy on both local and international levels, we work to create a world where all people have the right to make informed choices about their own bodies, free from coercion or discrimination.
