Ensuring Equitable Access to Nutritious Food for All Communities
Prenatal Protections
Natural rights are the essential needs and freedoms that allow individuals to live with dignity, security, and opportunity. At First Rights Global, we champion universal access to fundamental human necessities—clean water, nutritious food, safe shelter, and unpolluted air—as well as protections for freedom of movement, bodily autonomy, and freedom from servitude and exploitation. These basic rights are central to our mission, grounded in the belief that every person, no matter their location or circumstances, deserves respect, safety, and the means to thrive.
In the United States, food insecurity, housing instability, and environmental health disparities disproportionately impact marginalized communities. Nearly 12% of U.S. households face food insecurity, and unsafe drinking water remains a concern in cities like Flint, Michigan. Internationally, these challenges are even more critical. According to the World Health Organization, over 2 billion people lack access to safe drinking water, and approximately 815 million people experience hunger. In regions affected by conflict, poverty, or instability, individuals face restricted movement, exploitative labor conditions, and inadequate healthcare, all of which threaten their survival and well-being.
First Rights Global’s Natural Rights framework embraces a global perspective. We address local issues within the U.S. while also engaging in international advocacy through partnerships with UN bodies, non-governmental organizations, and grassroots movements. Our goal is to support policies that guarantee clean water, accessible housing, food security, and freedoms essential to human dignity. By addressing these fundamental needs globally, we work to dismantle systemic inequalities that jeopardize individuals’ security and empower communities with the resources they need to achieve stability and opportunity.
